How are verifiers paid?

Payment rate

Payment: 5% of the value of the verified work when a verification is required, carried out and approved.

The payment is calculated on the value officially submitted for verification under the terms of the contract.

What verification work involves

  1. Read the contract, its clauses, its requirements and the expected evidence.
  2. Verify the work on site or remotely.
  3. Compare the completed work with the agreed conditions.
  4. Collect the photos, videos, documents, links or other relevant evidence.
  5. Write a neutral, clear and factual conclusion.
  6. Approve the work, request a correction or report a non-compliance.

For an on-site verification, the person attends the agreed location, observes the situation, takes the authorised evidence and compares the observations with the contract.

For a remote verification, the person reviews the documents, photos, videos, links and other digital evidence.

The decision must be based solely on the contract and the evidence, without favouring any party.

Concrete example: one month of activity

During January, a verifier carries out 3 verifications of 50.00 USD Jobs per day, 5 days a week, for 4 weeks, and 1 verification of a 6,000.00 USD Konbit per week for 4 weeks.

Daily calculation for Jobs

3 Jobs x 50.00 USD = 150.00 USD verified per day

150.00 USD x 5% = 7.50 USD earned per day

Weekly calculation for Jobs

3 Jobs per day x 5 days = 15 Jobs per week

15 Jobs x 50.00 USD = 750.00 USD verified per week

750.00 USD x 5% = 37.50 USD earned per week

Monthly calculation for Jobs

15 Jobs per week x 4 weeks = 60 Jobs

60 Jobs x 50.00 USD = 3,000.00 USD verified

3,000.00 USD x 5% = 150.00 USD earned

6,000.00 USD x 5% = 300.00 USD earned for one Konbit

The 60 Jobs and the 4 Konbits do not produce 64 separate payments. All amounts are combined into a single monthly payment. The 7.50 USD fee is deducted only once.

Payment date

BAYJOB initiates or makes a single monthly payment on the 15th of each month for the eligible income accumulated during the previous calendar month.

Income accumulated in January is processed for the payment on 15 February. Income accumulated in February is processed for the payment on 15 March.

Time to receive the payment

The payment may be received the same day. Depending on the payment method, the amount, the country, the financial institution and the provider used, receipt may however take up to 7 business days after the 15th.

The payment may therefore be received as early as the 15th or at the latest on the seventh business day after it, depending on the method used.

The 25.00 USD minimum is calculated before fees.

Number of verifications

BAYJOB sets no fixed limit on the number of verifications that may be carried out. Income depends on the number of assignments available, accepted, completed and approved. Higher activity may produce higher income and lower activity produces lower income. No minimum income is guaranteed.

  • Verifications must match the fields approved in the profile, up to four.
  • They must match the province or territory authorised for on-site verifications.
  • They must match the scope authorised for remote verifications.
  • They depend on the person availability.
  • They must comply with the independence rules.

Agencies

Agencies may also apply for contracts when the type of contract allows it.

An agency is not automatically authorised to carry out a verification. Its representatives must comply with the same rules of competence, neutrality and independence.

Conflicts of interest

A verifier or an agency may not verify a contract in which they already take part or in which they hold a direct interest.
